Nancy found a pleasant weekend
getaway in southern Sandusky. This is actually our second trip. The Great Bear Lodge is a family vacation
spot with endless activities for kids of all ages. The resort is centered around an enormous indoor water park.
Imagine, vacation plans never to be ruined by inclement weather again.

4-stories of fun and they're fighting for this lone spot! Lazy River named after these two!
The Yukon theme is appearant the instant you pull into the front entrance. A giant bucket, mounted on top of a 4-story fort, dumps hundreds of gallons of water every few minutes. There's also an outdoor pool to keep the sun worshipers content. The blue and green tubes on the left are the enclosed water slides from the indoor portion of the park. Water squirts and pours from virtually every gizmo on the fort. Beth and Mike under a thick stream from a duct above. Ronnie was fascinated endlessly by the mini water spouts in the kiddie pool. Creatures of all sorts may harrass unsuspecting guests. Yes, the kiddie pool is for "kiddies" of all ages! Two-man tubes carry passengers down the 5-story water slides and directly to a lazy river. Yes, they're still there! Ronnie and Paul loved the 0-feet, 0-inches wading pool. After experiencing the whole park, Paul still had Veronica to push around when he got bored. Ronnie needed a boost when wrangling the larger outdoor water spouts. It's hard to get 'em all looking at the camera. There's always one looking the other way. The dining facilities are a little antiquated but the food will appeal to every critter!
